Our Journey Begins…

at the highest altitudes of Mount Batur, an active volcano on whose slopes grows some of the world’s most delicious arabica coffee beans. It continues on the beaches and in the towns of the island of Bali, where local chefs are creating all-natural healthy cuisine. Finally, it takes us across the ocean to the United States where the coffee beans are roasted in small batches.

At bali espresso™ we’re committed to bringing the delicious tastes of island living to your table. Our coffee is responsibly grown on family farms in Bali, by farmers we know personally. Our goal is simple, to provide top quality fair trade coffee to everyone who orders from us.

My name is Hanna and I’ve been a restauranteur in Philadelphia for more than 5 years. I started bali espresso™ because some of the Earth’s best coffee grows on the island I come from and even in the restaurant scene, not a lot of people are aware of that fact. I want to bring the tastes, the culture, and the spirit of Bali to the world.

I was born in the town of Gianyar, just outside of Ubud. Our region is known for its art and culture. I grew up around artisans of all kinds. For bali espresso™ I’m working with coffee growers who know my family. We’re roasting their beans in small batches here in the US. I’ve been feeding people in Philadelphia for a long time, but bali espresso™ is my latest pride and joy and I think you’ll be pretty blown away by just how delicious our coffee can be.

Coffee grown in Bali is some of the most unique on the globe, and its one of the coffee-drinking world’s best kept secrets. The one of a kind flavor comes from Bali’s mineral-rich volcanic soil. The coffee here is grown in the tradition of Subak Abian. The Subak is a natural irrigation system used by farmers in Bali to maintain a healthy balance between humans and their environment. Farmers using the Subak avoid synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, insecticides or other harmful chemicals, producing organic coffee beans. At bali espresso™, we’re working with traditional coffee growers to bring genuine delicious Balinese coffee to the world’s table.

It’s grown at high altitude for a thicker more chocolatey flavor. Our coffee is the best quality, grown responsibly in the mountains of Bali. Our creed is simple.
